Thanks for taking a minute to learn more about us. Lodestar Coaching LLC is a veteran owned and operated professional coaching and consulting service for businesses and individuals.
Our name, Lodestar, comes from an old word for a navigational star used to help guide ships at night, often the North Star. If you’ve spent any time on the water, in the woods, or on the highway you already know that a good sense of where you are is as important as knowing where you want to go.
Our mission at Lodestar Coaching LLC is to do good by helping others do well.
At our core are four unique guidepost principles: reduce noise, increase clarity, build trust, and save time.

“Some people go an entire lifetime wondering if they ever made a difference, but the Marines don’t have that problem.”
-Ronald Reagan
It’s a nice sentiment. But as a guy who spent a decade and a half walking in those boots, I’ll be the first to tell you it’s not a universal truth.
I’ve wasted plenty of days…disengaged, burned out, and wondering if I’m spending my fleeting time on Earth doing anything that matters.
Sound familiar?
Thankfully, I’ve benefited from the guidance of some remarkable people over the years. I’ve called them by a lot of names: family, friend, leader, boss, mentor, pastor, confidant – the list goes on. These are people who graciously invested their own precious time and energy steering me closer to my optimal life.
Despite all this support, it took me a long time to see the forest for the trees. A watershed moment came in 2019 when I invested in a few sessions with an executive coach. Among many productive breakthroughs, my coach helped me realize it was rarely advice I was taking. The most significant turning points in my life usually came about because of someone asking me the right questions. They pushed me to dig out my own solutions. In those moments, whether they knew it or not, someone had been coaching me.
Amazing coaches have helped me my entire life, and continue to do so today. My mission here is to pay it forward.

The biographical stuff
A native of the Philadelphia suburbs, I joined the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves before graduating high school in 2006. As a Marine, I spent the better part of 15 years in a variety of roles – periodically picking up some active duty time around the U.S. and abroad.
Along the way I earned a bachelor’s degree in history with a minor in political science from East Stroudsburg University of PA. Later, I added an MS in management and leadership from Catholic University of America in Washington, DC.
Outside the Corps, I’ve led (and followed) in positions in healthcare, government administration, leadership development, and industrial production.
Over the years, I developed four leadership pillars, which I now apply to my coaching practice. They are: reduce noise, increase clarity, build trust, and save time. I’ve found that if I can use these as guides in almost any endeavor, I’ll usually find myself moving in the right direction.
I do my best to apply these pillars to my personal life as well – as a husband to an amazing wife and mother, and “da-da” to one (so far…) beautiful baby girl. We live in the Philadelphia, PA suburbs with our goofy, lovable, rescue-pup, Lincoln.
When not working or changing diapers, you can find me reading, exercising, training Brazilian jiu-jitsu, fishing, hiking, hacking away at the golf course, or otherwise enjoying the great outdoors with my family. My love for all things outside came from a lifelong hobby of hitting the high seas with my dad (a pastor and professor who instilled in me many of my values) and brother for some offshore fishing—a passion that helped inspire the Lodestar name.
How I got here.
